Adjunct professor at the Department of Communication and Language Sciences at the Escola Superior de Saúde (ESS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) since 2008. With the title of specialist in the area 7,72,726 – Speech Therapy and Rehabilitation. Effective member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Applied Health Research at ESS.IPS. Vice-president of the Voice Department of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy.

Master in Speech Sciences since 2009 by the Institute of Health Sciences (ISS) of the Catholic University of Lisbon (UCP). With certification of attendance in the Doctoral Programs in Voice, Language and Communication of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon in 2012 and of the Doctoral Program in Cognition and Language Sciences at the UCP-ISS in 2018. Postgraduate in orofacial motricity and in oropharyngeal dysphagia.

Graduated in Speech Therapy from the Escola Superior do Alcoitão, with professional experience with adults and children in the assessment, diagnosis and intervention of Voice, Swallowing, Speech and Communication Disorders, with private and institutional activity since 1995. Trainer in the area of ​​Communication and Voice professional, namely for Air Traffic Controllers at NAV-Portugal, Teachers, Singers and Actors.

Responsible and Co-responsible for the development and implementation of community projects and programs for health promotion and skills development in the areas of Communication, Voice and Swallowing: “Comunic’arte Program”, “ActivCom Project”, “Bel(in)vista Project ”, “Matiga+ Project”, “AmaVoz Project”, “Healthy Voice Project”, “Swallow a Smile Program”, “Culted Voice Project”.

Author and co-author of papers presented at national and international conferences and magazines in the areas of voice, swallowing and communication. Participation as a jury in professional peer competitions.
